Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Jamie O’Hara, has urged Manchester United defender Harry Maguire to hand in a transfer request and leave the club this summer transfer window.

O’Hara claimed it was obvious that Maguire is not wanted at Man United, adding that nobody respects him as a player at Old Trafford.

Maguire was recently stripped of the Man Unite captaincy by manager Erik ten Hag.

The England international was also raged at by the club’s new summer signing, Andre Onana during their pre-season friendly 3-2 defeat against Dortmund.

“I don’t know why he [Maguire] is still there [at Manchester United] – I would have handed in a transfer request and left the football club.

“He is not wanted there, he has had the captaincy taken off him and he is not respected as a player by anyone – it is obvious.

“He needs to just get out and play football where he can enjoy himself and get his confidence back,” O’Hara told Grosvenor Sport.
