Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, Marco Verratti has sent a heartfelt message to Neymar after the Brazilian international completed a move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal.

Verratti said he loves Neymar, who he described as special and his friend.

The Italy international, who is also linked with a departure from PSG, reacted to Neymar’s departure as he wrote on social media (via GOAL): “Just to tell you that it was amazing to spend all those years together.

“I love you very much and I wish you the best for the new stage of your life. You are a special person my friend.”

Neymar joined PSG from Barcelona back in 2017 for a world record transfer fee of €222 million.

The 31-year-old played 173 matches for PSG, scoring 118 goals and registering 77 assists across competitions for the French Ligue 1 giants.
