Turkey: Osimhen helps Galatasaray beat Besiktas in Istanbul derby

Victor Osimhen scored his fourth goal to help Galatasaray beat Besiktas 2-1 in the Istanbul derby on Monday night.

Osimhen has now scored in three straight league games for the Turkish Super Lig champions.

The Nigeria international nodded home Galatasaray’s second goal from Gabriel Sara’s cross in the 67th minute.

Okan Buruk’s side maintained the top spot on the table with 28 points from 10 matches.

The Yellow and Reds are six points clear of their closest rivals, Samsunspor.

Besiktas remain in fourth place on 20 points.
