Tusker FC, a team in the FKF Premier League, has made an exciting announcement regarding the return of their former captain and defender, Eugene Asike.

In a statement, Tusker FC announced, “Our former Captain Eugene Asike has returned to the team on a short-term deal.”

Speaking to the club’s media, Asike, who had previously won both the league and the FKF Cup with Tusker, expressed his happiness about being back home and explained that he returned as he works to resolve some contractual issues with his current club.

“It is a good feeling to be back home, though there are new faces I am getting to know,” he stated. “I had some contractual issues and decided that I could get some game time here as I work to sort them out,” he revealed.

Asike keen to help Tusker

Asike is eager to leverage the valuable experience he gained while playing in the Swedish league to help Tusker achieve positive results.

“I believe that with the experience that I have, I can bring a positive impact and share my experience with them to help us achieve positive results. I can see we have a young and hungry team; they are keen to prove a point, which is a good thing. At Tusker, we want to challenge for all the silverware available,” he said.
