A road accident in the Sobea area, Salgaa, on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway claimed two lives and left eight others seriously injured on Monday night.
The collision involved a 14-seater matatu from Nanaki Sacco, a trailer, and a probox.
Eyewitnesses reported that the matatu collided head-on with the trailer, which was avoiding the probox that was overtaking in the wrong lane. The injured were taken to Nakuru Level Five Hospital for treatment.
This incident occurred just two days after another fatal accident on the Eldoret-Nakuru Highway on Saturday morning, where five people died and eight were seriously injured. That 3:30 am collision involved a 14-seater matatu traveling from Eldoret to Nakuru and a truck at Migaa, Nakuru County.
