Police in Eldoret are holding two men suspected to have duped over 100 young people through a fake recruitment agency, promising them jobs abroad.
Officers from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reprimanded the two collecting money from the youth at Silver Line back street. The victims would then be ferried to Nairobi as promised.
Over 100 youth camped at Eldoret Central Police station on Tuesday night each demanding Ksh. 2,400 they claimed they had paid to the suspects as registration fee.
The authorities asked the victims to leave and report to the station this morning to record statements as police commence probe into the matter.
