Police in Nakuru County have apprehended two people in possession of 575 litres of suspected Ethanol.

The pair, a driver identified as Isack Ochieng and Hedmond Ochieng, are said to have been using a vehicle of model Nissan Note to transport the ethanol.

The National Police Service in a statement on Thursday said the suspects were nabbed on Wednesday by detectives who were acting on a tip-off from the public.

“On 27/12/2023 at about 1300hrs NPS Officers from Elementaita Police Station impounded a motor vehicle reg. No.KDM 563R Nissan Note and recovered 575 litres of suspected Ethanol,” stated NPS.

The vehicle was also impounded to help with investigations.

The duo is expected to be arraigned in Nakuru CMS Court on December 28, 2023.
