Two people have tragically lost their lives in separate road accidents in Nairobi, specifically in Buruburu and along Waiyaki Way.

The first incident occurred on Outering Road near the Mutindwa Footbridge, where an unknown vehicle knocked down a 29-year-old man identified as John Kisavi. According to police reports, Kisavi was crossing the road when the vehicle, heading towards Embakasi, did not stop. He suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been taken to the Mama Lucy Hospital mortuary, awaiting a postmortem examination.

In a separate accident on Waiyaki Way near Chiromo Road, a Mercedes Axor trailer traveling towards the CBD struck a motorcycle on Tuesday. The motorcycle rider, a 28-year-old man named James Simon, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for treatment. Additionally, a 19-year-old pillion passenger named Miatri Hitesh suffered head injuries and a deep cut to her abdomen. She was taken to Poplar Hospital Ngara, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Her body has also been moved to MP Shah Hospital mortuary, pending a postmortem.
