Two fatal accidents have occurred in Kirinyaga County, according to Kirinyaga West police commander Moses Koskei. In the first incident, a motorbike collided with a car bound for Sagana along the Sagana-Kagio road.

Tragically, the pillion passenger succumbed to injuries, while the rider sustained serious head injuries and multiple fractures. He was initially taken to Sagana Sub County Hospital and later transferred to Kerugoya Hospital. The deceased’s body was conveyed to Kibugi Funeral Home in Kutus.

In a separate incident along the Mwea-Embu highway, a bodaboda rider lost his life after being struck at Ngurubani-Thiba bridge. Authorities are currently seeking the driver responsible for the collision. The deceased was taken to the morgue at Kerugoya Hospital by Wanguru police station officers.
