U-20 World Cup: Six countries qualify for Round of 16

At least a total of six countries have qualified for the Round of 16 stage of the ongoing 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.

Gambia and England were the two latest teams to qualify for the Round of 16 on Thursday.

Gambia defeated France 2-1, while England won 3-2 against Uruguay in the group-stage encounter.

They joined the likes of Argentina, Colombia, USA and Nigeria in the Round of 16 stages.

The six countries all have 6 points each after winning their first two games in the group stage.

The final group stage matches will take place today, Saturday and Sunday.

The Round of 16 fixtures will commence next week.
