Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes has blamed Erik ten Hag’s side following their Champions League 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

Fernandes said this while throwing his support behind goalkeeper Andre Onana after the Cameroonian international made an error against Bayern Munich.

The Portugal international told Onana, who somehow let a low Leroy Sane shot squirm home, to stop blaming himself for the Champions League defeat against Bayern at the Allianz Arena.

Recall that Onana, who buried his head in the turf and was consoled by team-mates, later said after the game that he “let the team down” and that Man United didn’t win against Thomas Tuchel’s side because of him.

“It’s not about Andre,” Fernandes said at his post-match interview after the game.

“Andre is a great goalkeeper.

“He will keep giving us a lot of points, a lot of saves. He has not to take any blame for nothing.

“We have to take the blame as a team, that we are going to go through this moment together because we are strong as a team.”
