UEFA Super Cup: Guardiola makes history as Man City beat Sevilla

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola is now the first football manager to win the UEFA Super Cup with three different teams after the Citizens defeated Sevilla on Wednesday night.

Guardiola won his 4th European Super Cup, equalling Carlo Ancelotti as manager with most titles in this competition.

The Spaniard watched as Manchester City beat Sevilla 5-4 via penalty shoot-out at the Karaiskakis Stadium.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes, thanks to goals from Youssef En-Nesyri and Cole Palmer.

Man City’s victory over Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup means Guardiola has now won the trophy with the Premier League champions, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Guardiola is widely regarded as one of the best managers in the present generation.
