Ulinzi Starlets forward Mideva confident of bagging FKF WPL golden boot

Ulinzi Starlets forward Elizabeth Mideva will go all guns blazing as she bids to clinch this season’s Kenya Women Premier League (FKF WPL) golden boot.

The former Archbishop Njenga Girls High School goal poacher shone on Saturday April 5, 2026 as she scored a hat trick in a 3-1 win against four time champions Vihiga Queens which raised her side to the second position on the log with 47 points.

The Hat trick brought the number of goals she has scored for Ulinzi to 10, two behind Ugandan and Kenya Police Bullets forward Margaret Kunihira as he club mate Joy ‘Kinglady’ ‘Oriyo follow suit in third position with nine goals.

“My focus is to emerge the top scorer and that’s why I’m pushing myself in scoring many goals as possible.

“I also thank my fellow players for passing the balls to me to score, I couldn’t have made it where I am if was not for their nice collaboration”

“Apart from eyeing the Golden Boot I want to see my team win the title.

“It has been long since we bagged the prestigious title and I believe with the fighting spirit we are showing recently and the winning streak, we can achieve the dream.”

Kenya Police Bullets still leads the log with 49 points as Trinity Starlets, Vihiga Queens and Zetech Sparks complete the top five with 34, 30 and 28 points respectively.

Mideva is among the last squad named by Harambee Starlets coach Beldine Odemba for the upcoming FIFA Women’s Series to be held at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday 11th April – Wednesday 15th.

On Saturday Kenya will play India at 6PM EAT a match which will be proceeded by world heavyweights Australia and Malawi.
