Renowned Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika has taken to her Instagram page to express her disappointment and frustration over the absence of local celebrities at the funeral of her dear friend, Aziza Frisby, who recently passed away in Tanzania.
Aziza Frisby, a prominent socialite in the East African region, passed away unexpectedly, leaving her friends and acquaintances in shock and grief.
While many local celebrities mourned Aziza on social media, Vera Sidika expressed her disappointment in what she referred to as “fake friends” who only offered condolences online but did not make the effort to attend the funeral in person.

Vera Sidika, a mother of two who is currently in the United States, shared a series of posts on her Instagram story where she compared the flight duration and time required to travel from various locations to Dar es Salaam, where Aziza was laid to rest.
She lamented that some individuals who claimed to be close to Aziza did not make the relatively short trip to pay their final respects.
In one of her posts, Vera wrote:
“So none of you would take a one hour and 30 minutes flight from Nairobi to Dar to pay your last respect to a person you called a friend. Knowing how Islamic customs prioritize quick burials? This is why I say this world is filled with so many fake friends. It literally takes about 24 hours to fly from the USA to Kenya; everything happened so fast, I cannot believe it. Your sister did not even get to see you. I’m so heartbroken right now.”
Vera Sidika was among the celebrities who broke the news of Aziza Frisby’s passing to social media users and paid her heartfelt tributes to the late socialite.
She continued her Instagram story, saying:
“The world is full of surprises. In fact, Arusha is too close to Nairobi; you can literally drive there in four hours, and yet some friends could not go to see my baby Janet get laid to rest. My heart is bleeding.”
The absence of some local celebrities at Aziza Frisby’s funeral has sparked a conversation on social media, with fans and followers expressing mixed opinions on the matter.
