Kenyan socialite and businesswoman Vera Sidika has dismissed claims that she underwent her recent breast surgery in Kenya.

She made it clear on Instagram on Sunday, September 28, 2025, that the procedure was done in the United States, where she says surgeons have far more experience in the field.

In response to questions about whether the surgery was performed in Kenya or South Africa, Sidika strongly rejected the speculation. She said there was no reason for her to do such a procedure locally when she already has a valid five-year visa for the US.

According to her, American surgeons have handled thousands of such cases over decades, giving them unmatched expertise.

Why US?

“No disrespect, but why would I even wanna do it in Kenya when I have a 5-year USA visa and there are surgeons in the USA who’ve done over 15,000 boob surgeries with over 20 years’ experience?” she said. “Show me one surgeon in Africa with this portfolio. Then maybe I can consider them next time.”

Sidika also explained that if she had chosen to do the procedure in Kenya, it would have been impossible to keep it private. She noted that news would have leaked long before she was ready to reveal it, pointing out that secrecy is difficult in local hospitals, where even security staff could share information with blogs.

“In fact, if I did it in Kenya, I think they would have been launched way before I healed because y’all can never keep a secret. Even the hospital’s security alone would send tea to blogs,” she said.

Sidika revealed that one of the reasons she chose the US was the ability to go through surgery and recovery quietly. She said she managed to keep the procedure hidden for over a month and only announced it once she was fully healed.

“See how I kept it a secret for over a month and launched when fully healed without anyone knowing,” she wrote.

The socialite, who has been open about her cosmetic procedures in the past, said she has no regrets about choosing the United States for this surgery and made it clear that the rumours about it being done in Kenya are completely false.
