Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany has declared that his charges will give all they have got ahead of the mouth-watering return against Paris Saint-Germain.

The two European giants go head-to-head in Allianz Arena in Germany on Wednesday, May 5, 2026, starting at 10:00 pm.

Following Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, securing a 2-1 aggregate win, one of the finalists is now known as the action shifts to Wednesday, May 6, 2026, return leg clash pitting Bavarians, who look to overturn a first leg loss at their home turf.

Belief in reaching final

Speaking to UEFA, the Belgian enthused that the club were not the likeliest candidates to reach the stage they are now and will be looking to finish the job backed by their home supporters.

“There is a good relationship between this team and the fans. At the start of the season, maybe not many believed we would still have a chance to reach the final, but now we are here; we have experienced many special moments. And I think the fans believe we can do it. We want to make it a memorable moment,” he said.

Kompany expressed optimism that both sides will stick to their attacking guns at Allianz Arena, as witnessed in the high-scoring first leg, as the former Manchester City legend pits wits against the experience and versatility of his nemesis, Luis Enrique, in the opposite dugout.

“It is difficult to imagine that either team will change what brought them here in the first place. We are playing at home; we want to win and will do everything to achieve that,” he explained.

Tah on facing PSG

Center back Jonathan Tah also spoke on the importance of the home fans, an aspect that has been a rallying call from the German champions ahead of the encounter.

Tah believes just as PSG rode on their supporters, it will be their turn to draw support from the home crowds.

“We definitely notice when everything is red. What I feel most is this special atmosphere. Against Real Madrid, we felt the support from the moment we went out to warm up. We felt it was different. That is an extreme push; you cannot underestimate what it is like when the whole stadium is behind us,” he explained.
