Kenyan nanny Rosie Samson, also known as Rozah Rozalina Samson, captured the internet’s attention as she bid farewell to the four children she had cared for in Lebanon.

The video, shared on TikTok by Rosie’s employers, depicts a tearful goodbye at the airport, igniting both admiration for the strong bond between Rosie and the children and concerns about potential exploitation.

Rosie has become an internet sensation following the circulation of the emotional farewell video over the weekend.

While some viewers marveled at the genuine connection between Rosie and the children, others expressed apprehension, suggesting that her employers might be using her for fame.

In response to the speculations circulating online, Rosie took to YouTube to address the concerns and refute claims of exploitation.

In the video, she affirmed that her employers had consistently shown genuine care and kindness towards her, even before the video went viral.

“Today I want to address an issue that I have come across that is disturbing me. For those people who are saying that my bosses are using me and that they are faking tears, it is not true. Those people loved me from the day I went there. They accepted me and treated me very well from day one. Infact, I blended in from day one,” Rosie passionately stated.

She clarified that her employers were already well-known before her arrival, dispelling any notions that they sought fame through her.

“Those people who are saying they are looking for likes. It’s not true; those people were famous even before I came back to Kenya. I do not know where that is coming from,” she added.

While reflecting on her time in Lebanon, Rosie acknowledged the challenges faced by migrant workers in foreign countries, expressing her hope for better conditions for those working abroad.

“When I was in Lebanon, I always prayed that we who work there should at least have something different. It was so heartbreaking kuona mtu ameuliwa, mtu anateswa. It was very sad,” she shared.
