Tumiso Mathenge, the daughter of celebrity couple Nameless and Wahu, has leapt to the defence of her mum after some fans body-shamed her online.
In a social media post, Tumi wondered why some people, especially ladies, are body-shaming her mother, months after she gave birth to her third daughter.
Tumi said people should understand that Wahu just had a baby, hence the transformation, and should really give her a break.
“I find it really sad that it is women who are talking about her body. Honestly (I) expected better from us and she literally just had a baby. You guys need to grow up for real,” Tumiso said in her Insta-stories.
The body-shaming comes after Wahu shared a photo of her giving views during a meeting held by the recently appointed Talanta Hela Creative Technical Committee.
Wahu was among the celebrities appointed to the committee. Others include Daniel Ndambuki, popularly known as Churchill, Azziad Nasenya, Jimi Gathu, Kate Actress and Akothee.
The committee seeks to propose reliable systems for the seamless and accountable collection and distribution of royalties to all creatives. Additionally, it will propose implementation frameworks for the creatives economy plan.
The committee is chaired by Churchill.
Wahu recently had her third daughter whom she named Shiru. After the delivery, Wahu said she had been warned that it would be risky to have a third child, but she did not give up because she wanted to have three children.
