‘Wajackoyah hired personal tutor to prepare me for KCPE’ – Nuru Okanga

Staunch Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya coalition supporter Nuru Okanga on Monday heaped praise on Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah for preparing him for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).

While addressing the media at Mumias Primary School where he began his national exams on Monday, October 30, 2023, Okanga hailed Wajackoyah for equipping him with the necessary resources so that he can sit his KCPE.

He also claimed that the Roots party leader hired a professional tutor in Nairobi who would teach him whenever required.

“Nataka nishukuru mheshimiwa Wajakoya ambaye alikua ameniandikia mwalimu kule Nairobi, mwalimu ambaye amehitimu. Niko sure hii mtihani ata kama sitafikisha marks ambayo watu wanatarajia, marks 250 kwangu iko sawa,” he added.

When asked why he was sitting for the national exams, the 32-year-old said he needed the certificate in order to vie as Member of County Assembly (MCA) in 2027.

“Mimi nimeamua kufanya Standard Eight ili nikue na certificate kwa sababu 2027 niko kwa ballot na baba yangu alikufa mapema sikueza kusoma. Nimeona nirudi nifanye mtihani nitafte karatasi kwa sababu MCA inahitajika ukue na certificate ya Standard Eight usimame upitishwe na IEBC,” he said.

Okanga also disclosed that he was planning to proceed with high school after he acquired his primary school certificate.

He further revealed that he intended to contest for the presidency and that right now his focus is to cement his educational background.

“Baada ya hii mtihani pia ntarajia nijunge na Form 1 kuendelea mbele ili nitimize ndoto yangu. Nataka nikipata hii certificate ya Standard Eight nijoin High School pia nikifanikiwa niendelee, kwa sababu mi najiamini ntakapokua na seventy years ntakua nasimama president wa hii nchi.

“Nikiwa na 75 nitakua nawania kiti cha urais hapa Kenya. Hio ndio focus yangu, na hio kiti ya presidency mtu anatarajiwa akue na makaratasi ya kutosha ndo maana unaona niko kwa mikakati ya kusoma,” he added.
