Wanja Nyarari gets new father figure days after burying her mother figure in emotional event

Social media personality Wanja Nyarari is happy after getting a new father figure in her life, days after burying her mother figure at an emotional event at Lang’ata Cemetery.

Nyarari revealed that she has been adopted by Mr Suryakant Challa, President, Africa Region of Narayan Seva Sansthan, introducing him to his followers as her new father figure.

“And guess what? I have a new father figure who has adopted me in purpose and service, Mr Suryakant Challa, President, Africa Region of Narayan Seva Sansthan,” Wanja said.

She shared a video of their meeting with her father figure helping her dress in ceremonial attire as she shared the joyful news.

Nyarari gets new role

She added that Sansthan visited her residence to offer his condolences following the death of her mother figure.

“He visited my residence together with the team from Empower Ability Foundation, led by its founder, Wanjiru Mbugua Njui, to offer condolences and, more importantly, to plan impact,” she added.

Wanja also revealed that the charity organisation approached her to serve as a liaison, helping identify beneficiaries.

“I have been requested to serve as a liaison to help identify beneficiaries of ACK Diocese of Mt Kenya South, Benson Gathungu Kamau, Rev. Joy Benson. I know you can as well use this opportunity to reach out to needy persons who need to walk again,” she added.

Call to action

Wanja also issued a call to action, urging anyone who knows a needy person who can benefit from the organisation’s support to reach out.

“If you know anyone, a child or an adult, who needs a limb or an arm, kindly reach out or share this message widely. Let this information reach the villages, the estates, the homes, and the hospitals,” she added, providing contact information through which she may be reached.

The social media personality lost her mother figure, Nancy Wanjiku Wanja, on January 14, 2026, after a long battle with bronchitis.

She was buried in a sombre event on Friday, January 23, 2026, with Wanja intervening when the programme was being interrupted and grabbing the microphone.

She later explained that her intervention was necessary to give people adequate time to mourn, having noted that the moderator was rushing through the programme.
