Gen Z protesters, at the forefront of anti-Finance Bill demonstrations, have affirmed their determination to persist in advocating for the removal of tax proposals in the 2024 Bill.

During an interview on Sema na Citizen, the youthful protesters declared their unwavering commitment and emphasized their readiness to continue the protests. They highlighted the presence of established structures to sustain the movement.

The activists underscored their stance against resorting to violence, expressing confidence in their intellect and effective strategies to drive their cause forward.

“It is a mind game. We have not told politicians that we need funding. We as Gen Z are well organized and we have social media platforms to greatly help us,” stated William Gacheru, a political activist.

“We are good in socials, we have funds, we have any other means we have telegram, we are communicating. They will not defeat us,” added Gacheru.

Gacheru went on to state that they will not be blind by the amendments made by the government on Tuesday, where some tax proposals were dropped by Kenya Kwanza legislators.

“I am filled with great happiness, everyone is finally waking up,” said Anini.
Gacheru added that they are well coordinated and the demonstrations can happen anywhere in the country.
“We have a chain all over the country, you want to see it in Marsabit next week you will see it.”
