Paris Saint-Germain forward, Neymar, has paid tribute to Lionel Messi after the Argentina World Cup winner announced his departure from the French Ligue 1 champions.

Neymar Jr. penned an emotional message for Messi who played his final game for PSG on Saturday.

In a post via his Instagram account, Neymar told Messi that they tried everything, but it didn’t turn out as they thought.

Paying tribute to Messi, Neymar wrote on Instagram: “Brother… it didn’t turn out as we thought, but we tried everything.

“It was a pleasure to share 2 more years with you. Good luck in your new stage and be happy. I love you.”
