Four casualties from Wednesday’s June 25 anniversary demonstrations are still admitted at the Matuu Level IV hospital with gunshot wounds.

The hospital administrator Julius Makau confirmed to Citizen Digital on Thursday morning that the four are in a stable condition.

He said one was transferred to the Machakos Level V hospital for further management.

Meanwhile, three more who had other injuries were treated and discharged on Wednesday.

Matuu town witnessed heavy clashes between police and demonstrators, with crowds of protesters trying to invade a police station.

One person was shot dead in the incident, while another succumbed to gunshot injuries later in the afternoon.
