Trade and Investment CS Moses Kuria has dared Azimio La Umoja coalition leaders to stage an anti-Finance Bill protest.
Speaking on Thursday, Kuria said protests are not a preserve of Azimio leaders only adding that they will equally stage theirs to back the Bill.
“They can demonstrate against the passing of the Finance Bill, we are going to demonstrate for, do they own the streets? We can also go to those streets we shall meet there,” he said.
The comments come after Azimio announced their next cause of action after MPs passed the Finance Bill, 2023.
The Bill was passed Wednesday after a heated debate at the National Assembly that culminated in voting for various clauses.
The bill will now be sent to President William Ruto to assent.

On Thursday, Azimio leader Raila Odinga called supporters for a consultation meeting on Tuesday.
The opposition said the passage of the Bill signals the era of leadership and must be resisted.
Addressing a press conference at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation, Azimio co-principal Martha Karua said Kenyans can never be helpless in deciding their destiny.
“We will have a consultation meeting with our supporters at Kamkunji grounds on Tuesday from 10 am,” Karua said.
“Let us come together next Tuesday and decide what kind of life we want to live.”
Karua said whenever they come together as a people, they have always found a solution to the country’s worst problems.
