The actress and singer Zendaya re-negotiated her earnings for her role as “Rue Bennett” in the hit film Euphoria to $1 Million.

The film which is centered on high school students trying to navigate day-to-day life while dealing with drugs and sex showcased its first episode in 2019.

Zendaya was made the executive producer of the second season of the show alongside Drake.

In the year 2020, she won the Outstanding Lead Actress Emmy for both seasons, making her the youngest person to receive an Emmy award for producing.

Most of her fans were thrilled to come to her defense as to why she deserves to get a pay raise.

“Let’s be honest nobody would have carried this show or the character Rue better that Zendaya,” one of her fans Elizabeth Jude shared;

“I’m sorry but she deserves it, she’s the only one who’s bringing the Emmy every single time,” another fan Lola Vallet mentioned.

It is indeed a win for her on her new salary given that one of the actors in the same show, Sydney Sweeney cast as “Cassie Howard” felt that actors nowadays are not being paid as they used to be.

“They don’t pay actors like they used to and with streamers you no longer get residuals. The established stars still get paid, but I have to give 5% to my lawyer, 10% to my agents, and 3% to my business manager. I have to pay my publicist every month and that’s more than my mortgage,” Sydney explained.

HBO has started its production of the third season which is also rumored to be the last season of the series.
