Khadija Kopa, the mother of Tanzanian songstress Zuchu, remains steadfast in her refusal to acknowledge Diamond Platnumz as her alleged son-in-law, despite widespread speculation about the two artists’ romantic involvement.
In a recent interview with local bloggers, Khadija reasserted her position, stating that she does not recognize any relationship involving her daughter unless the customary process of dowry payment has been completed.
“I do not know anything about her relationship. I will recognise any of her relationships after they pay her dowry. She is not dating. I am an adult. If God allows her to give me grandchildren, I will be okay. It is, however, not a must,” Khadija asserted.
Khadija dismissed any claims of intimacy between Zuchu and Diamond, referring to him as merely a boss to her daughter.

She expressed indifference towards Diamond saying that she is not his mother to give him any advice.
“Who is Diamond? He is just a boss to her. I do not know anything going on between them. I have not seen any kissing video? I do not have any message for him. He is just an artiste, and I am not his mother to tell him anything,” legendary icon Khadija said.
Despite the public displays of affection between Zuchu and Diamond on social media, Khadija Kopa remains resolute in distancing herself from acknowledging the alleged relationship.
She highlighted the importance of formal introductions in their cultural tradition and reiterated that she would only recognize relationships that have followed the customary process.
“Matters of her relationship, I am not aware of them. Because in our culture, we only recognize relationships when a suitor has come forward, and that’s when you become aware of the relationship. But relationships from the outside, I am not privy to. If you want to know about them, you should ask her directly,” Khadija explained.
This is not the first time Khadija Kopa has expressed her disapproval of Zuchu’s association with Diamond.
In September 2022, she publicly stated that she did not acknowledge Diamond as her daughter’s partner, further fueling speculation about the dynamics between the famous couple.
