Shortly after Disney Channel actress Carla Jeffery died suddenly at the age of 33, her brother Carlon has shared the text message he sent her shortly before she passed, and it has left fans completely heartbroken.
Complex posted the message on Wednesday, September 2, a day after Carla’s death was confirmed on September 1, 2026.
Her manager, Carla Alexander, broke the news, describing the actress as a “beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman” whose smile could light up any room. The family or her management team has shared no cause of death.

In the text, Carlon told Carla he had simply called to check how her day went, but the words quickly grew into something far more tender.
“I just want you to know how proud I am of you,” he wrote.
“Your resilience, your grace, your infectious smile that lights up a room. You are truly a light that shines bright. Don’t let anyone… dim that light… even yourself.”
He closed the message by telling her she was the best sister a brother could ask for, and promised to have her back “in this life and the next.”

She is best remembered for her role as Bree, the bubbly head cheerleader, across all three films in Disney Channel’s beloved Zombies franchise.
