A DNA result has put Kenyan content creator Ciggie Johnson at the centre of a heated online conversation after he disclosed that a daughter he had raised and provided for was not biologically his.

In a video posted to Instagram on Saturday, October 3, Ciggie opened up about the test results, describing how he had taken care of the girl for 12 years, covering her financial needs as she grew up.

What did Terence Creative tell Terence Creative?

The revelation resonated widely online, drawing swift reactions from fans and fellow creators alike.

Among those who responded publicly was content creator Terence Creative, who addressed the situation directly in an Instagram Stories post.

Drawing from his own upbringing, Terence shared that he was raised by foster parents who loved him and ensured he got an education, and to this day he considers them his true parents.

“I want to talk to my brother Ciggie. I see you have done DNA and the baby is not yours. Sometimes it’s not DNA that determines if the kid is yours or not. The bond that you have created. The love and care that this kid has received is more than a DNA test,” he wrote.

Terence went further, urging Ciggie not to walk away from the child.

“Do not leave the child alone. Keep caring for her as you previously did. If you leave her, things will be bad. It will deeply affect her,” he added.

The post stirred debate online, with commenters offering sharply different takes on what Ciggie should do next.

Nyamu Jnr was unconvinced by Terence’s position, writing:

“Poor advice hakuna kulea watoto wa wenyewe.”

Erickoh Erickoh Erickoh took a more conditional stance:

“Under one condition, the mother must reveal the biological father.”

EL Jeje Kiddoh kept it blunt:

“Another day to remind you that DNA is cheaper than school fees.”

Jean Crell Ndiro, however, sided closer to Terence’s view:

“If it were me, I would continue caring and providing.”
