Equity Group has appointed Moses Okoth Nyabanda as the Acting Managing Director for Equity Bank Kenya, following the early retirement of Gerald Warui, whose request for retirement has been accepted. Warui departs after a distinguished tenure in various roles, including operations, customer service, and HR.

Nyabanda has been serving as the Group’s Chief Finance and Strategy Execution Officer. Before joining Equity Group, he was the Managing Director and Country Senior Partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Rwanda and a member of PwC’s Eastern Africa leadership team.

According to Equity Bank, Nyabanda has a strong track record of leading successful teams, strategic planning, driving business growth, and providing impactful solutions to businesses and governments in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and the United Kingdom. His appointment is pending approval by the Central Bank of Kenya.
