Popular digital content creator Hoch Muhoro has opened up about his romantic relationship, revealing that he was once dumped by a woman because he still lives with his parents at the age of 47.
Speaking during an interview with Oga Obinna, in an episode aired on Monday, February 9, 2026, Muhoro was asked whether a lady had ever left him because of his living arrangement.
“Has a lady ever left you because of living with your parents?” Obinna asked.
“Yes,” Muhoro responded.
He went on to explain that lifestyle differences often make it difficult for him to maintain relationships, especially with women who prefer a more fast-paced social life.

Muhoro added that he prefers a calmer lifestyle, noting that he likes to go out early, enjoy old-school music, and head home before late hours.
“Hawa wasichana wa Kilimani hawawezi sikia mambo ka hiyo, wanataka kupelekwa club kalikali,” he explained.
“Mimi masaa zangu zikifika saa tano,na hiyo ndiyo time club inashika, na mimi nataka tuende saa mbili ikichezwa ma oldschool, na ikifika saa tano tunaenda nyumbani na hawabambiki. “
Reasons for living with his parents
Muhoro, however, explained that his decision to live with his parents was deeply rooted in personal tragedy.
“It is a tragedy that happened. I lost my sister in November 2002; for me, it was part of the healing process staying with my parents,” Muhoro revealed.
He revealed that he and his late sister were the only children in the family and that he is the firstborn.

“We were only two in our family my sister and I. I am the firstborn, and when my sister passed away, I saw the pain my parents went through. There is nothing as heartbreaking as watching your dad break down, so I thought the best way is to be close to them and stay with them,” he added.
Additionally, he said he chose to remain close to his parents to support them emotionally, insisting that living with them brought him peace and healing.
Muhoro further disclosed that he later began creating content with his parents, noting that at some point they even tried to push him to move out.
“Nikaanza kuishi na wao and I started doing content with them, Ikafika mahali wakajaribu kunifukuza lakini niliwaambia’this is the only way I’m healing. I am not going anywhere’ seeing them happy is my joy,”he added.
