Residents of Kajiado County and friends of Ololua Forest have staged protests over what they term as an attempt to grab more than 50 acres of land in Ololua Forest.

The locals were joined by Kajiado County Senator Lenku ole Kanar in stopping a group of people who dug trenches in an attempt to fence off the piece of land.

Residents say they will not allow any excisions of the forest land and have asked the government to ensure that the forest is not invaded and to ensure that the culprits are brought to book.
