A Mumias woman who opened her home to a vulnerable teenager she rescued in Nairobi is now desperately seeking answers after the girl allegedly vanished with her young child, leaving only silence behind.
Ruth Nanjala told TV47 Digital that she had taken in 18-year-old Aliya after encountering her in Nairobi and bringing her to her home in Mumias, Kakamega county.

What began as an act of compassion quickly turned into heartbreak when Aliya reportedly disappeared without warning.
According to Nanjala, the teenager went missing, taking only a small bundle of clothing and KSh 600 in cash.
Crucially, Aliya did not leave alone — she took her two-year-old child with her when she left.
