The Real Housewives of Nairobi cast Lisa Christoffersen says she did not feature in the show because of how much she would make.

The talented rally driver said she isn’t on the show for the money but joined it to have fun and sell Kenya to the world.

“Honestly speaking I joined for the fun because the money that was offered was so little compared to how much I gave to the show in terms of time but there was a catch.

I know there are mzungus who have never left their countries of birth and are just there thinking is that Africa is this dark place. I wanted to demystify that and the world will get to see this as I take the girls on trips,” said the mother of two.

Lisa is the peacemaker in Real Housewives of Nairobi.

“I have had a very interesting journey thus far. I have met incredible people, and I am very positively surprised about my fellow cast members because we’ve actually developed a form of sisterhood. There’s a beautiful camaraderie between us, and an understanding and sticking together through thick and thin, and that was very unexpected,” she said.

As a rally driver, Lisa said her being on the show is a wonderful opportunity to show how empowering women in motorsports are.

“When I founded the Lioness Rally (the first women-only rally team in Kenya), it was to take women to a different level in life, just like steering a vehicle in the direction that you want to go, fearlessly with a lot of focus. Motorsport is a male-dominated sport but we want to try and change that, and take it to the next level.”

She says Kenyans are in for an adventure.
