A 23-year-old man was reportedly found dead outside his apartment in Hunters, Kasarani Nairobi county.
The man identified as Blair Muthomi was found lying on the floor on Friday, March 10 by the apartment’s owner identified as Joseph Macharia.
Speaking to Kameme TV, Macharia says he had visited his property to supervise ongoing construction when he stubbed into his body.
The landlord would later inform his two roommates who insisted he was still breathing and hurriedly rushed him to Uhai Neema hospital while Macharia reported the matter to Mugumo-ini police station.
The landlord says Muthomi and his two roommates had just moved into the apartment last month.
Muthomi was, however, pronounced dead on arrival in the hospital. The hospital later informed his parents about his death.
According to his father, Muthomi had just cleared his studies in mechanical engineering at Nairobi Technical and was awaiting his graduation.
He says he had communicated with him via phone on Thursday, March 9, during the day however his phone could go through but went unanswered later at night.
“I received a call from Uhai Neema that my son is dead. I talked to him via phone to enquire if he had gone to work. At around 8:00 PM I called again but the phone went unanswered,” his father noted.
His family is questioning whether Muthomi was pushed or fell from the fifth floor and is now calling on investigations into their kin’s death.
An autopsy conducted showed he died from a fall.
