Police in Uriri sub county, in collaboration with the provincial administration, are investigating the deaths of a 45-year-old man and his 35-year-old pregnant wife in West Kanyamkago, Uriri sub county, Migori county.

Erick Otieno was beaten to death on Wednesday morning in Dago village over allegations that he murdered his wife, who was six months pregnant.

Kajulu two sub location Assistant chief Mr.Charles Onindo said Otieno, accused of killing the wife, was corned at his hiding place in Dago village by the mob that proceeded to beat him to death.

Mr.Onindo stated that they are investigating what happened prior to the death of the murdered suspect, but they suspect that he was involved in the murder, which is why he chose to flee before members of the public apprehended him.

The area assistant chief stated that the matter is now being investigated by police and that the truth will be revealed soon.

Meanwhile, Mr. Onindo has urged the public to use other diplomatic means to resolve family disputes rather than killing each other.
