Kenyan content creators Nicholas Kioko and Wambo Ashley have gone public with news that their relationship is over, releasing a joint statement on Instagram confirming the end of their four-year romance.
In the post shared on Monday, September 14, the two addressed their followers directly, writing:
“After four years together, we have mutually decided to go our separate ways. We separated three months ago and have taken time to process and accept this decision.”
The timing of the announcement caught many fans off guard, particularly because Wambo Ashley had publicly played down rumours of a split as recently as August 2026.
The couple’s decision to stay quiet for three months before going public suggests they wanted space to come to terms with the change privately before facing the scrutiny that inevitably follows celebrity breakups.
Nicholas Kioko and Wambo Ashley’s children Despite the end of the relationship, both Kioko and Ashley were clear that their children remain the priority.
The former couple are parents to twin boys, Roman and Rommy, born in early 2023, and a baby girl named Rowena, who arrived in January 2026.
“While our relationship has come to an end, we remain committed to raising and loving our three amazing children, our twin boys and our beautiful daughter,” the statement read.
The pair asked their followers for “privacy, understanding and grace” as they move forward into this new chapter separately.
Weeks of online speculation
The announcement did not come entirely out of the blue for Kenyans who had been following the couple closely online.
Speculation about trouble in their relationship had been circulating for weeks, with fans piecing together clues from their respective social media activity.
Wambo Ashley’s earlier denial of the rumours had temporarily quieted the chatter, but Monday’s joint post put the matter to rest definitively.
The response online was swift, with fans and fellow creators reacting to the news almost immediately after the post went up.
