Mr. Kimani said the officers from the criminal investigation department early this week managed to arrest three suspects and recovered a pistol, 58 rounds of ammunition and other crude weapons including a panga, a knife, and an axe from the suspects in Mabera area.

He said for the past week, police have been trailing the criminal gang that has been operating between the counties of Migori, Kisii and Homa Bay. Kimani said the gang has its accomplices in the neighboring country Tanzania.
