The police are investigating two separate incidents in Machakos and Kajiado counties involving deaths under suspicious circumstances.

In Athi River, Machakos County, the body of Samuel Waweru, a bodaboda rider and chairman of a local riders’ group, was discovered on the roadside near Yeyani Resort.

He had sustained visible injuries, and his motorcycle is missing. The motive behind his murder remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing. His body has been transferred to the mortuary pending autopsy.

In Ngong Town, Kajiado County, a 45-year-old man was found dead in a lodging room where he had checked in the previous day with a woman. The cleaners discovered the body after the room remained locked from inside longer than expected.

The woman was absent when the body was found. There were no apparent injuries on the deceased, and his body has also been moved to the mortuary for autopsy as investigations continue.

Police are actively seeking to interview the woman who was last seen with the deceased man in Ngong Town, Kajiado County, to shed light on the circumstances leading to his death.

Police responded swiftly, and with the assistance of the community, managed to contain the fire. Tragically, Nancy Mwendia Njoka’s body was discovered after the flames were extinguished. Her body has been transferred to the mortuary for autopsy and further investigations are underway.
