“Blinding Allure is more than just a mixtape. It’s a melodic journey that serves as homage to Kenya’s diverse youth whom I have the pleasure of interacting with daily through my work as a Senator.
When I lost control and everything around me started to disappear, my voice remained. Glaucoma has made me understand my ability to, and the importance of, standing alone. This mixtape is about recognizing the power of self-worth, the limitless potential of us all once we decide to stop hiding who we are and create our path in the world.”
‘Blinding Allure’ sees Crystal’s exploration of energetic pop sounds coupled with themes of self-worth, overcoming challenges, love, and courage.
The mixtape boasts a diverse range of influences, with Crystal fearlessly experimenting with hip-hop, trap, R&B, and jazzy elements.
Each of the six tracks is a testament to her artistic evolution, showcasing her ability to seamlessly blend genres and push the boundaries of creative expression.
Crystal Asige says her latest musical venture is not just a testament to her artistic growth but also a celebration of self-worth and the limitless potential that exists within each of us.
“I think I was given this mountain to show others that it can be moved,” she added.
Crystal left Sol Generation barely 10 months after it was sensationally introduced into the Kenyan music scene.
Appearing on Chat Spot, Crystal said Sauti Sol simply did not want to continue working with her in the group and told her to leave.
“It’s not a very long story, but back in November (2019) they told me they wanted me to leave, they didn’t want me to be in the group anymore so I left. That’s the beginning and the end of the story,” she said in a past interview.
