TV personality Willis Raburu honours people he has loved and lost

Willis Raburu has in mind the memory of his late daughter Adana and his grandfather, and four other special people who made a huge mark in his life.

Taking to his Instagram, Raburu mourned them in different ways. For Adana, Raburu shared a skyline photo in the dusk. He appeared to have been travelling and the picture of the sunset was beautiful.

He wrote “I do hope I make you proud Adana. Daddy always loves you” he shared with red heart emojis.

Raburu lost his daughter Adana in 2021. He always remembers her in heartfelt tributes on her death anniversary.

He was then married to Marya Prude.

His grandfather Ker Willis Opiyo Otondi! died over a month ago.

Raburu in a death announcement on social media, paid glowing tribute to him saying he inspired him in many ways.

“I remember how you used to joke and tell me “Don’t play around with my name” always the well-spoken, always speaking your mind. Always strict, yet gentle. An infectious laugh and smile. Hi stood your ground. You cared for us all and wanted to be involved in our lives.”

Willis revealed he was an elder highly resected.

“As the Chair of the Luo Council of Elders, you also made your mark. I live to honor your legacy and memory by carrying forth your name! I am blessed and honored to continue with the name Willis Edwin Opiyo Otondi. Rest in Power “Ndungu” I will miss you!”

Opiyo Otondi passed away on February 17, 2023, after being admitted to a hospital in Kisumu over the weekend due to an undisclosed illness.

Also on the list are Cliff, Aunt Janet, Grandma, and Wycliff Matini Malu.
