Two Kenyan schools nominated for the Global Innovators Award

Two Kenyan schools, Nova Pioneer Tatu City School and Kakenya Centre for Excellence, have been named among the top 10 finalists in the World’s Best School Prizes education awards.

These schools have been nominated in the World’s Best School Prize for Innovation 2024 category, as announced by T4 Education Founder and CEO Vikas Pota.

T4 Education, a global Ed-Tech platform, organizes these prestigious awards. Nova Pioneer Tatu City School and Kakenya Centre for Excellence, located near Kilgoris in Narok County, will compete for top honors against other schools from the United Kingdom, Brazil, Italy, Australia, and other regions.

Additionally, Kakenya Centre for Excellence has been nominated for the community collaboration award, highlighting its exceptional engagement with the local community.

Christopher Khaemba, Director of Nova Pioneer, described the nomination as a tribute to the school’s students, parents, and teachers who have collaboratively worked to achieve global excellence.

“We are excited to receive the news that Nova Pioneer Tatu City, a school for innovators and leaders, is one of the top ten finalists in this year’s World’s Best School Prize for Innovation category,” he said.

“This nomination is a testament to the school community’s sheer hard work as part of a joint commitment to elevate the quality of education in Kenya.”

The World’s Best School Prizes are recognized as the most prestigious awards in education, offering inspirational schools a share of a $50,000 cash prize and a global platform to help others replicate their best practices.

This year’s finalists, including Nova Pioneer Tatu City School and Kakenya Centre for Excellence from Kenya, have been celebrated for their extraordinary innovation, leadership, and commitment to quality education.

Vikas Pota, Founder and CEO of T4 Education, praised the finalists, noting the fierce competition and the exceptional qualities of the shortlisted schools.

He highlighted their groundbreaking teaching methods and robust student support programs, which redefine educational excellence.

T4 Education, the organizer of these awards, is a global Ed-Tech platform that connects a community of over 200,000 teachers from more than 100 countries, all dedicated to transforming education.
