On Monday, retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, leading the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM), met in Johannesburg with Major General Mashadi Selepe of the South African Police Service, head of the National Operational and Intelligent Structure (NATJOINS).

They discussed security measures for the upcoming General Elections on May 29.

Kenyatta also engaged in talks with South Africa’s Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, where they highlighted the judiciary’s crucial role in maintaining the rule of law and ensuring fair and transparent resolution of electoral disputes.
