President William Ruto on Monday, January 23 met Jubilee Party Members of Parliament (MP) at State House, Nairobi.

President Ruto said he was keen on uniting all the leaders to push the agenda of the people of Kenya forward.

“We must build a bigger and better team that will work together to effectively prosecute the agenda of the people of Kenya.

“We cannot move our country forward by leaving others behind,” Ruto said in a statement.

The meeting was attended by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

The Jubilee leaders who graced the meeting included Sabina Chege (Nominated), Kanini Kega (EALA), David Kiaraho (Ol Kalou), Irene Njoki (Bahati), Zachary Kwenya (Kinangop), Shadrack Mwiti (South Imenti), and Mark Mwenje (Embakasi West).

The meeting came after Kanini Kega said Jubilee Party had not joined Kenya Kwanza but was ready to help the government with its agenda in Parliament and criticize it when necessary.

“By supporting the government, it does not mean that we have shifted from Jubilee to Kenya Kwanza, we are still in Jubilee, and still in opposition but we are smart opposition in that if there is something positive the government is bringing, we support and if there is something that it is not doing right, we will fault the government,” Kanini Kega  noted.
