Woman found dead in her house, lover on the run

A 25-year-old woman was on Sunday morning found dead in her rented one bedroom house where she was believed to be living with her lover.

Residents of Kwa Ndomo area in Magarini, Kilifi County were shocked to find the lifeless body of the middle aged woman known by the name Malkia at around 6 in the morning.

Malkia, a seller of local brew Mnazi, has been living with her lover since October last year.

According to Mama Rebecca who is the landlady of the house, the suspect, who is a lorry driver, was the one who rented the house.

The suspect is said to have started living with the deceased late last year.

Area assistant chief confirmed the incident and notified the police.

Malkia was a mother of three and was well known in the area.

Residents have called upon couples to solve their differences amicably to avoid loss of life.
